Antique Find

Burlington Antique Show

If you follow me on Instragram [@amandapattison_] you probably saw the picture above yesterday and I mentioned Friday there was a possibility I'd be venturing to the Burlington Antique Show yesterday. Well I made the trip with a few friends and let me just say, one of the coolest places I've been when it comes to antiquing/thrifting. With over 200 vendors there is a LOT to chose from. I could honestly furnish an entire house with everything I wanted. However, I walked away with only ONE item: a gold antique mirror and it's not even for me! My parents are in the middle of redoing the half-bath downstairs and mom gave me the mission of finding an ornate gold antique mirror. 

I think it's safe to say the mission is complete! Especially when I brought this treasure home for only $60!

I'd say it was a good day || mom got her mirror and I discovered a new favorite place, which could be very dangerous for my bank account!

It's Friday!

Even though there isn't much on the agenda for the weekend I'm looking forward to a little sleeping in and relaxing. I love knowing I can wake up and do whatever I might want. There is potential for a Reds game on Saturday then maybe making my way to this on Sunday.

Guess we'll see!

Perfect Mason

100th Anniversary Edition 

I have a collection of my grandmother's blue vintage Ball 'Perfect Mason' jars. I use them for everything from flower vases [here and here] to drinking glasses to storage containers. I love them because they are vintage, the fun color, and of course that they belonged to my grandmother. So imagine my excitement when I discovered that 2013 marks the 100th year anniversary of the very first mason jar and to celebrate Ball has created the Heritage Collection. This is a limited edition collection, featuring the period-correct blue coloring.

So it should come as no surprise that I'm more than obsessed with the Conscious-Sustainable Style line. Seriously you guys, how amazing are these dresses?? I want them all and can't even decide which is my favorite! They all have a little somethin' somethin', don't you think? The details on each garment are incredible. Who doesn't love a little sparkle, lace, and tulle? I could also use this and this in my closet.

Another weekend has gone by which means it's Monday. Luckily this is a three day week for me (woohoo!).
How was your weekend?
Mine was filled with amazing weather, good friends, sports and lots of yummy food. In my book, that means a perfect weekend.
Oh, and if you're looking for a killer recipe to try the twice baked potatoes I made for my dad's birthday dinner are seriously amazing. I used this recipe. Can't go wrong with a Paula Deen recipe if you ask me ... you just might need to spend a few extra minutes at the gym!

Happy Friday!

Sorry for the radio silence yesterday, I had one heck of a long+busy day Wednesday that caused yesterday to feel like it was never ending. So I'm more than excited to say hello weekend! What do you all have planned? Anything fun? This is a weekend I've been looking forward to for awhile! Tonight I have a dinner date with my best friend, tomorrow I have college girlfriends coming in for the Ohio State spring game which is actually being held at Paul Brown Stadium [the Bengal's stadium] and then on Sunday we are celebrating my dad's birthday.
Busy, busy, but in a good way!

Happy Monday, everyone!

Sorry I've been away for so long. I was under the weather last week with a terrible stomach bug. Luckily I was feeling a bit better by Saturday and was able to get out and enjoy the gorgeous spring like temperatures. Unfortunately spring means rain and that is the only thing in the forecast this week. Looks like I'll need to find a few indoor activities to keep me occupied!
