#valentinepartyoftwo

Since it was too hot to do almost anything this weekend I made sure to tackle a few things on my to do list. On the top was getting my photos from Darci + Kory's wedding edited. I'm in love with all of them but wanted to share a few of my favorites.

Hope you all enjoyed the weekend and have a Happy Monday!

Girl Friends

[via]

Growing up I always had more guy friends than girl friends. But when I went away to college I met and lived with some of the coolest girls I've ever met and am now lucky to have them as my best friends. Today I'm reuniting with my 2 roommates [Darci and Liz] from senior year to get Darci ready for her big day! I'm so excited for the days ahead because I know they will be filled with late nights and early mornings, pampering and pictures, laughter and dancing, and of course, champagne!

My Best Friends Wedding

Happy Monday!
Sorry for being so quiet last week. I was a little under the weather with a serious head cold + sinus thing. In other words I couldn't breathe and was totally miserable. Lucky for me the weather in Cincinnati was a rainy mess this weekend which was perfect for getting lots of sleep and well, doing absolutely nothing!

Since there hasn't been much happening in my life I thought I'd share a few snapshots from my best friends wedding I mentioned here. I didn't get a lot of shots on my phone but I was able to get a ton on my camera.
I'm hoping to get those up this week so make sure to check back!

Life Lately

via instagram

Another weekend has gone by which means it's Monday. Luckily this is a three day week for me (woohoo!).
How was your weekend?
Mine was filled with amazing weather, good friends, sports and lots of yummy food. In my book, that means a perfect weekend.
Oh, and if you're looking for a killer recipe to try the twice baked potatoes I made for my dad's birthday dinner are seriously amazing. I used this recipe. Can't go wrong with a Paula Deen recipe if you ask me ... you just might need to spend a few extra minutes at the gym!

In The Wilderness

Red River Gorge || part two

Happy Monday!
Hope you had a great weekend and an even better St Patrick's Day! Did you all celebrate?
Nothing too exciting for me and since I never got around to it last week, here's round two of my trip to Red River Gorge.
If I only I was heading there instead of the office this morning .....

Hidden Away

Red River Gorge

You may have noticed I went missing the last couple days and that's because myself and a few of my closest childhood friends decided to pack up and spend the weekend at Red River Gorge [Kentucky]. Here's a few of my favorite moments from our first day:

And of course there has to be a little clowning around ...

More to come later this week!

You Might Find Me

ON TV!

Happy Monday, friends!

I have some fun news that I've been dying to share with you all since the summer!
You may recognize these snapshots from when I posted them here. I mentioned then that I was "Celebrating with my best friend Brandon + lounging in his new downtown loft." Well part of the celebration was because he was chosen to be on House Hunters! His episode premiers tonight at 10 pm (eastern time). He filmed with another one of our good guy friends and I seriously can't wait to see them in action. Friends and family are gathering at Brandon's for a viewing party which will be sure to include lots of laughs.
The snapshot of Brandon and I above was actually taken during filming. I popped in for a quick "bar scene" where I awkwardly gave a toast. And by awkward I mean I honestly have no clue what came out of my mouth once the camera started rolling. It was my "Old School" moment where I blacked out and just started talking. Only I'm nowhere near as cool as Will Ferrell. My guess is that I make zero sense, have a red face and I may even be sweating I'm telling you, I'm a little awkward so don't judge ...
They might have cut me out, also an option. They filmed for two full weekends which is a lot of footage to piece together so we aren't sure what made the cut. If they for some reason didn't cut me out, you'll find me in the outfit above [and probably laughing].

I guess we'll find out tonight!

Details of the Weekend

Happy Monday, friends!
I am so excited for this week - for a couple reasons: it's a short work week, spending time with the family and of course the food ...
So here's to hoping these next few days fly by!

If you follow me on Instagram [@amandapattison_] you may have noticed a few hot air balloon postings over the weekend.
That is because on Saturday what was originally a dinner date with two friends turned into an unexpected adventure.
Lori Jill and I decided to check out Balluminaria.
The event takes place at Mirror Lake in Eden Park, one of the many Cincinnati parks.
11 hot air balloons lined up around the lake and for 2 hours put on what is called a 'balloon glow'.
We entered in on the backside of the lake so we were right in the middle of the action, which made for some pretty cool pictures.
Though the coolest pictures came at the end of the night when we made our way around to the other side.
From there you could see the glow of all 11 balloons and their reflections in the lake - check out this amazing shot someone captured!

This is definitely something I plan on making a yearly tradition.
If you are in the Cincinnati area I highly recommend putting this on your list of things to see next year.

... And Off She Goes!

Today one of my dear friends, Molly, who I've known since college, is setting off for a month long European get-away. She will be stopping in four dream locations: Paris, Switzerland, Austria, and London. Talk about jealous! Oh, and did I mention she is making the trip all by her lonesome? Can you believe that? I mean what an adventure! She recently started a blog of her very own and I can't wait to make sure she is safe stalk her travels.

Have so much fun Molly + can't wait to see you once you're back!

Sneak Peek: Downtown Digs

My best friend recently ditched the 'burbs for a downtown condo so I thought I'd share a little sneak peek of his progress. There are still a few projects, like painting, that need to be finished but um, wow.
The amount of amazing work he gets done in such little time always leaves me speechless.
My favorite piece has to be his grandfather's old work bench, a few coats of polyurethane did wonders.
And after seeing it I immediately told my mom I will doing the same to my grandfathers.

So what do you think? Pretty amazing, right?
Oh, these photos were all snapped on my iPhone so ignore the quality!
