Here's the deal: when it comes to my hair I'm pretty very lazy. I hate to cut my hair, refuse to do highlights (way to much maintenance for this girl) and don't even really know what my natural hair color is anymore. Which is why I fully believe the ombre hair style was made for me. Not only does it cater to my laziness but it gives my hair dimension and it looks super cool. The only time I visit the salon is when I have a big event coming up, look in the mirror and realize my hair is out of control + really ugly. With that being said my brother gets married next Saturday which means I need start working on being wedding photo appropriate. So I'm off to the salon tonight! The plan is to stick with the ombre and I'm thinking something like this. Pretty much gorgeous and the perfect colors for fall. Fingers cross it actually looks like that!

Haim || The Wire

The three California sisters that make up Haim have got my feet tapping and fingers snapping with their new single The Wire [ps the video is hilarious] off their album Days Are Gone. The album is set to be released this Friday, the 27th [pre-order now!]. I'm also obsessed with their EP Forever released Oct 2012, my favorite song being Go Slow. But honestly, they are all good!

It's the Weekend!

Happy Friday, friends!

After a busy week I will be spending this entire weekend relaxing and tackling a few items on my to do list. Which for me, will be the calm before the storm since I am booked solid the next 5 weekends! And that isn't me complaining because it's all things I've been looking forward to: the Ohio State/Wisconsin football game, my brothers wedding, Pumpkin Show, and a college reunion just to name a few! Resting will be key if I'm going to survive it all, fingers crossed I do!

I love when Target brings in a new designer line, although I have a feeling my bank account does not.
And the Phillip Lim line (now in stores) definitely does not disappoint. These are just a few of the items I have my eye on and first on my list are the french terry sweats, almost positive I'd live in these.

Paired with a cute pair of skinny jeans, a cozy sweater, a beautiful bag and a messy bun is definitely the way to go.

It's the Weekend!

TGIF has never sounded so good! Especially since the weather in Cincinnati is literally perfect, 63 and sunny. This gorgeous weather showed up at just the right time since I'm off to Columbus with my college roommate tomorrow to attend the Country Living Fair. I couldn't think of a better way to spend a Saturday than by layering on some fall clothes, putting on my favorite pair of sunnies, sipping a pumpkin spice latte and exploring the fair with one of my best friends. My camera will be in tow so be on the look out next week for snapshots from the weekend. And I'll definitely be sharing  what I hope are some sweet finds on Instagram [@amandapattison_] so be sure to follow along!

I love Trader Joe's and always make a weekly trip to do my grocery shopping. Between the fresh produce, beer and wine selection, and the gorgeous flowers they always have on hand it's hard to pick which area keeps me going back because really, it's all of the above. I also love the fact that you can jump online and find a ton of amazing recipes they've come up with using only their products. Above are just a few of the recipes I love. John Mayer || Wildfire

I've been a fan of John Mayer since the beginning, Room For Squares will always be one of my favorite albums. And although his new album Paradise Valley has taken on a slightly different tone than what we might be used to, I still think he's great.
